Fordyn dynamite is a plastic-bonded explosive containing nitroglycol and ammonium nitrate. Fordyn is suitable for all types of blasting under normal conditions. Fordyn’s characteristics make it particularly suitable for underwater stoping, as a base charge for open-cut mining, channelling and for blasting in populated areas. Fordyn is also suitable for small and precise blasting, where extremely small amounts of explosives are used, as the material is easy to cut into small doses.

The material’s mouldability and high specific weight (~1,5 kg/dm3) enable a high specific charge. Fordyn is also highly water-resistant with maximum operating depth of 25 metres.
