FORCIT and Orica have reached an agreement on a transaction concerning part of Orica´s business in Finland and Sweden. The agreement is subject to customary authority approvals. With the agreement, part of Orica’s operations in Finland and Sweden will be transitioned to FORCIT. The agreement covers personnel related to the civil explosive products business, storages and other service stations, and the equipment needed to produce the services. This transaction does not affect FORCIT’s Norwegian operations, which will continue as before.
The transaction, once completed, will improve the coverage of FORCIT’s service network and provide increased resources. This development will also provide increased flexibility to meet the demands of the future. In addition, FORCIT’s existing product range will be expanded with Orica’s advanced technology products, including, e.g., wireless technology detonators (WebGen™).
